For any cyclist with a passion for the peloton and an obsession with the Tour de France, our cycling tour following this classic road race is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Cycle each stage in the morning, and then cheer on the pros as they pass you on the very same climb. The sensation of cycling the same routes as the pros, the fun and excitement of being able to cheer on the riders on the hardest climbs or the most vertiginous descents, the opportunity to challenge yourself as you tackle the Tour’s most iconic climbs… not to mention the fabulous views of the race!
Enjoy an experience filled with passion, emotion and sporting history in this Tour de France cycling tour, traveling through the spectacular French Pyrenees. During the course of our weeklong cycling adventure we will see various stages of the tour, and climb Tourmalet, Hautacam and Col d’Aubisque! Our small group sizes guarantee a flexible VIP experience with close proximity to the pro Tour teams.

Our guides have ridden these routes many times, and will lead you along the best backroads so that you can enjoy this sporting event without worrying about anything but the pleasure of pedaling and the experience of riding our top-of-the-range bikes.
Day 1: Tuesday, 15th July. Lourdes.

Welcome to your Tour de France cycling tour!
Arrival in Lourdes at leisure. Please consult with our Bike Spain Tours team if you need any assistance in getting to Lourdes.
5pm: Welcome briefing and bike fitting at our hotel, which is located in the centre of Lourdes.
Once we’ve set up the bikes, we’ll stretch our legs with a brief cycling tour of the city and its beautiful natural surroundings. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a first group dinner together at the hotel.
Day 2: Wednesday, 16th July. Lourdes
Route: 99.4 km/61.8 miles
Elevation: +2167m/7110 ft
Accommodation: Hotel ALBA

Our first serious ride of the tour includes the epic climbs up to Col de Soulor and Col Aubisque, along one of the most spectacular roads in the Pyrenees. We’ll enjoy a thrilling descent along switchback roads, passing through picturesque mountain villages and following the course of the sparkling Ouzom river through the valley of the same name before heading back to Lourdes.
Tonight, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner together at our hotel.
Day 3: Thursday, 17th July. Lourdes
Route: 101 km/62.8 miles
Elevation: +1930m/6332 ft
Tour de France: Stage 12: Auch > Hautacam
Accommodation: Hotel ALBA
Meals included: Breakfast and dinner
Today we’ll tackle the legendary Hautacam climb just a few hours before the professionals! After cycling today’s Tour de France stage, we can cheer on our favourites as they cross the finish line for today’s exciting summit finish.
After the stage finish, we’ll head back to Lourdes and enjoy dinner together at our hotel.
Day 4: Friday, 18th July. Lourdes
Route: 79.1 km/49.2 miles
Elevation: +1788m/5866 ft
Tour de France: Stage 13: Loudenvielle > Peyragudes
Accommodation: Hotel ALBA
Meals included: Breakfast and dinner
Today we’ll enjoy a beautiful route to the town of Loudenvielle to watch today’s time trial. We’ll pedal through Bagneres de Bigorre and along the the Hourquette d’Ancizan, and up the legendary Col d’Aspin, before enjoying an afternoon of Tour de France excitement!
Once the peloton has passed by, we’ll return to Lourdes for a dinner with the group at the hotel.
Day 5: Saturday, 19th July. Lourdes
Route: 97.6 km/60.6 miles
Elevation: +2202m/7224 ft
Tour de France: Stage 14: Pau > Luchon-Superbagnères
Accommodation: Hotel ALBA
Meals included: Breakfast and dinner
On today’s route, we’ll begin with a relaxed cycle through the gave de Gavarnie river valley before tackling the mighty climb up to Tourmalet. Situated 2115m above sea level, the Tourmalet mountain pass is a classic Tour de France challenge that the pros will face on today’s stage.
After the peloton has left, we’ll head back to Lourdes and enjoy dinner together at our hotel.
Day 6: Sunday, July 20th
