With its superb cycling routes, dramatic coastal landscapes, and enviable Mediterranean climate, Mallorca has long earned its reputation as a true cyclist’s paradise. Each year, both elite professional riders and passionate amateur cyclists flock to the island to train throughout the winter and spring, drawn by its irresistible blend of challenging terrain, breathtaking scenery, and perfectly maintained roads.

Mallorca offers the very best of the Mediterranean in one place: endless sunshine, crystal-clear turquoise waters, golden beaches, and charming villages steeped in history. But what makes the island truly exceptional for cyclists is the magnificent Serra de Tramuntana mountain range — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its rugged peaks, dramatic cliffside roads, and iconic climbs (including the legendary Sa Calobra with its thrilling switchbacks) provide some of the most unforgettable cycling experiences in Europe.

From serene coastal routes to exhilarating mountain ascents, from quiet rural lanes through olive groves and citrus orchards to sweeping panoramic viewpoints over the sea, Mallorca offers variety, beauty, and challenge in equal measure. Combine this with world-class gastronomy, superb boutique hotels, and a vibrant Balearic culture, and it’s easy to understand why so many consider Mallorca an unmissable destination for a premium cycling holiday.
