Walk the Camino de Santiago from León — a journey through history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.

Our guided hike captures the essence of the Camino, selecting the most beautiful and meaningful walking stages to ensure an unforgettable experience. Every step is designed for comfort, authenticity, and inspiration, while our experienced Bike Spain guides are always nearby to offer support and local insight.

Follow in the footsteps of centuries of pilgrims as you cross the golden plains of Castile-León—once the proud heart of the Spanish Empire—before ascending into the misty mountains and emerald hills of Galicia, a land rich with legends and Celtic echoes.

Each evening, unwind in the elegance of some of Spain’s top hotels—historic monasteries, castles, and manor houses transformed into luxurious sanctuaries—and indulge in the finest Castilian and Galician cuisine, paired with regional wines that tell their own story of the land.

This is more than a walk; it’s a journey through the soul of Spain.
  • Discover the majestic monuments of medieval Spain, including León’s majestic Gothic Cathedral.
  • Stay in historic buildings carefully renovated into luxury hotels, including a 12th century convent belonging to the Order of Santiago and a 15th century pilgrim hospital.
  • Hike along gorgeous paths through ancient oak forests
  • Sample the delicious cuisine of both Castile-Leon and Galicia
  • Celebrate your achievement in front of Santiago Cathedral, as your fellow pilgrims have been doing for over a thousand years.

Gastronomy

The gastronomy along the Camino from León to Santiago offers a delicious journey through regional tradition. In Castilla y León, expect comforting, robust flavours such as cecina de León, roast lamb and rich stews, often enjoyed with artisanal bread and local cheeses. As you cross into Galicia, the cuisine becomes fresher and Atlantic-inspired, with dishes like pulpo a la gallega, seafood rice and empanadas, all rooted in local produce and time-honoured recipes that reflect the character of each village along the way.

Wines

In Castille-León, you’ll encounter robust reds and expressive whites from regions such as El Bierzo, where the elegant Mencía grape and the fresh, mineral Godello shine. Crossing into Galicia, the focus shifts to the crisp, aromatic whites of Albariño and Ribeiro, perfectly suited to the region’s Atlantic character and a refreshing reward at the end of another beautiful day of cycling.
