Pure cycling in the most beautiful surroundings. That’s what the classic Italian road race, the Giro d’Italia, is all about.
Experience the passion and excitement of the “Giro d’Italia” during the last week of the famous race. We will take you through the spectacular mountain areas of northern Italy and up to the crucial final stage in Verona. This trip not only promises an incredible week of road cycling, but also an unforgettable gastronomic and cultural experience in some of the most picturesque regions of Italy.
The highest quality hotels have been carefully selected and our experienced guides will be on hand to assist from the moment you arrive. They know all about the race and will show you the best roads and routes for cycling. You can rest assured there won’t be anything to worry about other than the pleasure of cycling. Van support and technical assistance is always close at hand.
Travelling in small groups allows us to provide a flexible VIP experience with close proximity to the Pro Tour Teams.
Please keep in mind you won’t be participating in the race nor has this trip to be taken as a professional training. Each participant can enjoy the real Giro d’Italia feeling at his or her own pace.

Day 1: Milan
Sunday, May 26th
Internationally known as “a shopping paradise” or “the city of glamour”, Milan offers a series of tourist attractions that make it one of the most visited destinations in the transalpine country. Here luxury stores and large commercial firms meet each other closely and allow you an insight into the most chic and avant-garde Milanese culture.
Today arrival at the airport or the train station in Milan is on your own. Our overnight location is very close to the station and you can get there easily from any international airport.
You can check-in from 3:00 pm. An early arrival will give you the freedom to relax, take the time to settle in the rooms and rest. In the afternoon we will take time to adjust and test the bicycles.
Today’s dinner is NOT included but we can recommend you various places where you can enjoy the Italian gastronomy.

Day 2: Tirano
Monday, May 27th
Today the riders have a rest day and we will enjoy a day of tourism and cycling. After you picking up from the Hotel in Milan, we’ll head out to the nearby town of Como to ride a very beautiful, classic route in the Giro de Lombardía of approx. 50 km. The van transfer to Como is about one hour by van.
Cycling around the Como Lake, we’ll pass through Bellagio and star the climb to Ghisallo. On top of the mountain we’ll find two gems of world cycling: the sanctuary of Ghisallo and the most important cycling museum in the world.
We descend by bicycle to Asso, where we will jump back in to the van to go to our hotel in Tirano (125km, about a two hour drive away).

Day 3: Tirano
Tuesday, May 28th
Today is the day of an epic stage: both the passes of Gavia and Mortirolo together.
We will try to make the two climbs by bicycle and after that watch the race. First we’ll head to Mortirolo and after going down to Edolo, we’ll continue to Ponte de Legno where we will ride up to Gavia.
After the riders have passed, we will take you down to Ponte de Legno to see the final part of today’s stage.
We’ll take you back to the hotel by van, where we will enjoy a dinner together.

Day 4: Tirano
Wednesday, May 29th
Today the Giro moves on to the north of Italy – close to the Austrian border and we will take advantage of this day to stay in BORMIO to enjoy the famous Passo dello Stelvio. It’s peak has an altitude of 2,757 meters above sea level and is the second highest mountain pass in the Alps, after the Col de l’Iseran.
It was in 1953, when the Giro d’Italia crossed the Stelvio pass for the first time. A mytical moment when Fausto Coppi beated the Swiss Hugo Koblet.
Our ride of today will be about 22 kms with aprox. 1600 meters of climbing.

Day 5: Bassano del Grappa
Thursday, May 30th
Today we change hotels and move to the Belluno area.
We’ll enjoy a scenic van transfer of approx. 6 hours, crossing the Dolomites through Passo Tonale, San Pellegrino and Monte Cevitta. Upon arrival we will try to watch the race live, or else at the hotel television.
There is no ride scheduled for today but we can recommend you routes to explore the area on your own.
Today’s dinner is included and we will enjoy it at the hotel.

Day 6: Bassano del Grappa
Friday, May 31st
Today we will pass take you to the famous Passo Rolle and we will see today’s stage, ending in San Martino Castrozza. It’s a short stage with a summit finish. The profile is wavy (but not too harsh) in the first part, as the route takes in climbs up Montello and Passo San Boldo, before the final ascent.

Day 7: Bassano del Grappa
Saturday, June 01st
Today we’ll get to see the stage with the finish line in Passo de Croce D’Aune. This famous pass with an altitude of 1015 meters above sea level is the place where Tulio Campagnolo invented the quick release skewer system when he was trying and failing to remove the rear wheel of his bicycle.

Day 8: Milan
Sunday, June 02nd
The beauty and harmony of the Verona landscape is defined by its river, the Adige, and the hills on the north side of the city.
After breakfast we’ll take you to this well know city for another day of cycling. After we are done we’ll make our way to the famous Arena di Verona to watch the decisive time trial on this last day of the Giro.
When the event is over, we’ll take you back to Milan by van (a trip of about 2 hours).
Today’s dinner is not included and you are free to enjoy one of the many restaurants that the city has to offer.

Day 9: Departure
Monday, June 03rd
All good things come to an end, so does the Giro d’Italia. Today, after breakfast we say goodbye and make our way home. We can guarantee you’ll travel home with a suitcase filled with memories of a fantastic trip!
